Blackboard General Information & Support with laptop and purple bubbles

Blackboard is the online course management system used at the University of Louisville. Each semester, approximately 75% of all courses taught at the university have an active Blackboard presence. Some faculty use Blackboard to supplement classroom instruction, while others create fully online courses. The Delphi Center provides support to faculty members, staff and students that use Blackboard and its associated software tools.

Quick Resources

  • UofL has transitioned to Blackboard Ultra! All courses are in Blackboard Ultra as of fall 2024. We encourage instructors to attend a virtual training to learn the basics. Then, attend a pop-in session virtually or in person if you need additional support, whether you have questions or would like personalized step-by-step assistance in adjusting your course.
    • Training: There are many options for the 45-minute virtual trainings. Asynchronous training is also available.
    • Pop-In Session: Choose a date to attend virtually or in-person in the TILL Classroom. Delphi's Blackboard and Instructional Design teams are able to assist.

  • UofL requires UL2FCTR (Duo) authentication to log into Blackboard. This is separate from your university user ID and password. Enroll and learn more.

  • Having issues using Blackboard's Single Sign On? Watch this video to view how to login.

  • SACS Course Syllabus Posting Instructions: Please see the instructions and video tutorial for adding the course syllabus for SACS accreditation. If you have any general questions or concerns about having to post a syllabus to Blackboard review the university's SACS Data Requirements.
