The Online Teaching Discussion Series, hosted by the Delphi Center, offers an informal gathering for educators looking to enhance their online teaching practices. Formerly the Online Teaching Book Club, this cross-disciplinary group will explore a curated selection of resources, including journal articles, podcasts, and videos, to foster discussions on key topics in online education. Whether you are a seasoned expert or new to online teaching, this series provides a supportive place for UofL educators to exchange insights, experiences and ideas. Join us for one or all four meetings, each focused on a different theme related to effective online learning.
Spring 2025 Semester
During the spring semester we will explore four topics relating to online learning. There is no requirement to attend each session. There's always room for new voices in our group. Here are the sessions left available for registration this semester:
- Blended Learning: Examine the benefits and challenges of blended courses, which combine online and in-person elements. This session will focus on effective strategies for integrating the two formats to maximize student learning.
Sign up for this virtual session, held on Tuesday, March 25, 3-4 p.m.
Evaluating Learning and Course Effectiveness: In this session, we will explore methods for assessing both student learning outcomes and the overall effectiveness of online courses. Participants will discuss strategies for measuring success and ensuring continuous improvement in online teaching.
Sign up for this virtual session, held on Wednesday, April 16, 10-11 a.m.
