Integrate VR/XR in Your Course

Sidebar

Schedule a learning session and explore the possibilities for integrating virtual reality in your course.

Extended Reality (XR) is an umbrella term for Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR). The TILL offers XR technology which can be used as an instructional tool to:

  • Image
Students in a german class in the TILL using virtual reality hardware

Promote active learning in the classroom

  • Offer new perspectives on course material
  • Engage students in course content
  • Provide experiential learning opportunities
  • Further develop students’ problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Facilitate an immersive experience free from distraction

XR headsets are available for classes to use in the Teaching Innovation Learning Lab (TILL) on the third floor of the Ekstrom Library through the Delphi Center for Teaching and Learning.

Delphi staff members are available to provide an overview of the XR technologies and work one-on-one alongside instructors, no matter their level of VR experience, to provide resources and to collaborate on designing effective XR activities that align with the instructor’s content.

Staff are also trained to assist if technological questions or concerns arise during the class.

Interested in developing your XR instruction experience in other ways?

The Delphi Center is also looking for faculty and staff that are interested in furthering the opportunities of XR for the university through developing XR content, attending Delphi XR workshops and more.

Complete the form to learn more about using XR for your course in the TILL, developing content for instructors or other offerings.
