Overview of Computer Resources
The Digital Media Suite (DMS) is divided into two main sections: the staffed, instructional lab & studios, and the unstaffed, self-service lab.
Printing is available through UofL's My Print Center from Canon.
Staffed Resources
(Instructional Lab and Audio/Video Studios)
The Digital Media Suite staffed lab has 4 Windows and 4 Mac computers available. All have the complete Adobe Creative Cloud collection of software installed. Two of the computers have dual-monitor setups for more advanced projects. The Video Studio and
the Audio Studio are also available in this space.
Staff can provide support with all the hardware and most Adobe software (see below for exceptions). Staff are also available to introduce you to the use of the studio spaces and provide technical support.
Self-Service Resources
(Media Commons Lab)
In our self-service Media Commons lab space, you will find 4 computers available (2 Macs, 2 Windows). All have the complete Adobe Creative Cloud collection of software installed. To access the computers, simply come into the open lab area at the front of the DMS.
The self-service resources are available anytime the East Wing of Ekstrom Library is open.
Software
The Digital Media Suite computers are specially designed and maintained with the most up-to-date software for digital media production. All the DMS computers have the full Adobe Creative Cloud suite, which includes:

Access the Adobe online tutorials for the resources listed above. The Mac computers also have iMovie and GarageBand.
For all our software, you can find tutorials through Linkedin Learning, which is available for free to all UofL students, faculty and staff.
Hardware
For use in the DMS, we have additional computer accessories. These include headphones for all computers, plus splitters to allow multiple people to use headphones at the same time on one computer. We also have Wacom Intuos Pro digital tablets for drawing or writing on our computers.
