Part-Time Faculty Institute
Part-Time Faculty can enhance their teaching skills and earn money toward further professional development by participating in the Part-Time Faculty Institute, a program at UofL designed especially for the needs of Part-Time Faculty.
The Part-Time Faculty Institute will provide UofL's Part-Time Faculty with tools and resources to help them become even more effective educators in the classroom. Participation in the Institute will also help Part-Timers become more comfortable in UofL's learning community.
The Institute will offer six sessions (one topic per session). Participants in any of the sessions will find them beneficial to their teaching. Part-Time Faculty who participate in five of the sessions before the end of the academic year will receive a certificate of completion and $300 toward a professional development activity.
Rules for Participation
- To be paid for sessions started but not completed during the Institute, participants may continue taking sessions during the current Institute until 5 are completed. Payment will then be issued and participants will start over again at that point, beginning a new 12 month cycle;
- After this, participants must complete 5/6 sessions within a 12 month period;
- Maximum of 80 faculty may participate (40 at each session). Will accept faculty on a first-come, first-served basis;
- All sessions to be held at the Delphi Center Classroom, 2nd floor, Ekstrom Library.
