Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find a course?
To find any course offered by the University, you can search the Course Schedule. Choose the Term, Subject, and enter a Catalog Number (or leave this blank to see the entire department offering). To specifically find Distance Education courses choose "Distance Education " in the Location field and then Search.

How do I register for a course?
Current UofL students, may register using Online Registration

Non-UofL students, need to begin the process of applying for admission:

 

What do I need to take a Distance Education course?
It depends. Some Distance Education courses are entirely Web-based, so you will need a computer with an internet connection, or at least access to one. For a course taught via interactive video, you will need to travel to one of the 120 sites available throughout the state.

 

How do I order textbooks online?
Our online bookstore is convenient and easy to use. Follow these few easy steps:

  1. Enter the Online Bookstore
  2. Create an account
  3. Find your course, add books to cart and click Checkout
  4. Complete Billing Information parts 1 and 2
  5. Submit your order
  6. Print your confirmation
  7. You are done!
