Listen Up! Essentials of Effective Listening
You can probably remember all those "reading comprehension" tests you took throughout school. But, how about "listening comprehension" tests?
Chances are, you never took any. As a result, most of us graduate being "listening illiterate."
In survey after survey of the traits of effective people, "listening" is always near the top of the list. Research also shows that the average person listens with only 30% effectiveness. Fortunately, though, listening is a skill that can be learned and developed with training and practice.
At this new workshop, you'll discover the power of listening and learn steps for becoming a more effective listener.
YOU'LL ALSO LEARN TO:
- Determine your listening style and exploit your strengths
- Recognize the listening styles of others and build on this information
- Understand, rather than just hear, what others are saying
- Apply proven techniques for improving listening skills in both personal and business situations
- Reduce conflict through effective listening
