Foreign Languages
Our following foreign language courses are designed for travelers and others interested in learning spoken language for business and social purposes. Vocabulary and grammar necessary for daily communication are stressed.
Spanish I
This introduction to the Spanish language covers basic vocabulary, grammar, and cultural information. No previous knowledge of Spanish is required or expected. Textbooks and study materials encourage students to study outside of class.
Level I is designed for those with no previous background in the language. Everyday conversations and situations confronting travelers are emphasized.

Spanish II
Level II is designed for those who wish to speak the language more effectively. Note: Level I is a prerequisite for Level II.

Italian for Travelers - Level I
Language is a habit. We are constantly expressing thoughts and ideas in speech, from habit, without paying any particular attention to words, phrases, or idioms we use. Therefore, repetition is the basis of language learning. It is very important that you acquire the correct pronunication at the very beginning so that you will gain the right speech habits.
This course will provide clear instruction in hearing, speaking and reading Italian, and a guide to Italian pronunciation. During each session you will learn basic phrases and basic grammar. You will also practice the language with oral exercises and review materials from Italian culture
