About the Delphi Center



In July, 2000 the Delphi Center was established to support faculty who use technology in teaching.

Dr. Gale Rhodes leads the Delphi Center’s activities with guidance from two select groups: a Faculty Advisory Committee and the Delphi Fellows. Working closely with Dr. Rhodes and the Office of the Provost, the Faculty Advisory Committee:

Development activities will be focused in the Delphi Fellows—university faculty selected for their outstanding teaching and learning practices and willingness to engage faculty colleagues. The Fellows will lead discussions about pedagogy, intervention, course design, teaching and learning styles, and other elements outlined by the Faculty Advisory Committee.

Delphi staff members train faculty in distance education course design and development; Blackboard Learning Management System, and technology of existing and newly renovated “smart classrooms.” Faculty support is also available through the iDAT and Blackboard Support Teams. Delphi staff members also provide student support services for all distance education courses and degree programs.
